Aside from my vintage cookbook collection, I have a modest comic book collection, from my youth. Last night I was looking through some old comics and visually cropping some of the art in my mind. I decided to scan some of these cropped areas… very cool stuff. Scanned at a high resolution, the dot pattern of the printing really stands out, as does the texture of the paper. Since joining Etsy, I’ve noticed an interest in vintage images for collages and whatnot, so I’m creating my own downloadable collage sheets for my Etsy store. My first collage sheet was of vintage kitchen utensils (more vintage cookbook art to follow!), and my newest is called Comic Book Street Scenes – Cops & Robbers.
